Doug Mucha is entering his fourth season with the Wyoming Valley West Football program. Doug was a student in the WVW School District, graduating in 2006. While enrolled at WVW, Doug participated in sports including football, wrestling, and track. He served as co-captain of the wrestling and football teams during his senior year.
Following graduation, Doug attended King's College in Wilkes-Barre. While at King's, Doug played football for four years, starting as the fullback for the Monarchs in three of those years. Doug earned his Bachelor's of Art in History while earning secondary and special education teaching certificates. Doug graduated King's in 2010. Doug also earned his Master's Degree from Wilkes University in the spring of 2016.
Following graduation, Doug worked in numerous positions as a substitute teacher at Wyoming Valley West until becoming a faculty member in 2013 as a history teacher at the high school. Doug also continued his football career serving as an assistant coach at Dallas High School for the 2012 and 2013 seasons. Doug currently resides in Kingston. He is very thankful to his family and friends for their support along the way and is grateful to be back home at his alma mater.
